 OK if it worked longer that 8 hoursDec 29, 2008
I'm sure there are lemons out there with every product. Mine quit working after 8 hours in my car. Not 8 hours of use. I only used the item for about 45 minutes on my commute to work and 30 minutes for lunch. When it was time to go home from work it would not come back on. Returned the item on december 5th, and it has been stuck in Nashville since Dec 9. It is now Dec 28, still waiting for it to make it to lexington, KY. Some time after that I hope to get a refund.

This satellite radio unit is a great way to add satellite radio to your car. It is very reasonable and works well. I love it.

I ALREADY HAVE ONE SO GIVING ONE AS A GIFT WAS NO PROBLEM.NOT PERFECT BUT GOOD.

I am an existing XM subscriber and already have 3 other radios on my account. When I purchased this radio, I was under the assumption that it had full functionality with the XM+Napster2go pay by the month service. If this is why you are purchasing this particular radio, please understand that in addition to live XM radio, it can only handle playing either the tracks you've purchased through Napster, or other mp3s you've downloaded or ripped onto your PC from elsewhere. It will not play the entire Napster catalog on the fly as some of the product literature suggests (though other radios can do this!), which I found to be unfortunately very misleading.
UPDATE: After 3 weeks of owning this system, I would change my overall rating to 1 star. Even though I have installed an upgrade to the firmware, the radio freezes up almost every time it is turned on. There are times when I've used the trick of hitting the volume up key and the mode key several times in a row to reset the radio, and it will still not power up properly. I've also found that the user interface and the placement of the keys is problematic, and it's easy to hit the wrong button when you are trying to change a station.

I wanted to get this for a long time. The features make this unit very attactive for what I want. I really wanted to be able to record programs for later listening/download.
This wasn't meant to be. In spite of some of the bad reviews, I crossed my fingers and ordered when I saw it on sale from J&R Music World for only $29!
I should have just thrown $29 out the window as I drove down the hiway. The unit locked up and became unusable after only two days of use. I only listend to the unit for 2 hours. It's dead and cannot be turned on at all. All this even after reading what others have done to remedy their problems, and a firmware update .
I spent $ for a subscription to XM, that I can't listen, the retailer may not refund my $ because I cut the box, & I'm out $ for shipping--$7.95 to receive and $8.00 to send back.
Don't buy this.
