S 50, SkyBox and who needs the home kit.

I recieved the S 50 from skybox the first week of Dec. and was dissapointed to find no ac power for the car kit, no fault of skybox. I then orderd the home kit on the 7th of Dec. only to find that it will not be available until the end of Jan or the first part of Feb., again no fault of skybox. I also found out the home kit has no fm transmitter like the car kit has. It has to be wired to your home stereo. I bought an ac to dc converter from radioshack for $30.00 and now have the S50 car kit playing in my home and ready to record Stern. I cancelled the order for the home kit, but skybox has been very helpfull all the way and I will be ordering an extra battery for the S50 when they are in stock. All in all I am very satisfied with the S50 and extremely satisfied with skybox.

SKYBOX USA and SIRIUS S50 - Great combination!!!

I received my S50 Friday from SKYBOX USA.  From placing the order to receiving the unit was easy and fast. Their live customer service answered ALL my questions promptly and professionally.  Now for the radio.  The FM transmittor works fantasic since the unit can send the signal at least 100 ft away from the unit.  I could listen to satellite radio on a Sony headset across the street from my house.  The MP3 format for saving songs is very easy to download and tranfer. All the functions and features on the S50 are easy to use. The best part of the radio is channel 100 & 101 HOWARD STERN coming Jan 9 2006 and NASCAR in 2007!!!   I'm in heaven!!!

S50 without the Home Kit?

Service was quick and reliable. Skybos is very helpful if any problem should ever arise!!!!!! However, having received the S50 over a wekk ago without receiving the bundled Home Kit is like being served a juicy Sirloin steak and NOT being given a knife and fork to eat it with!! I blame Sirius manufacturing problems not Skybox; they have done EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to rectify the problem and MORE. A great company to do business with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
